The story of Goshen's Light Enterprises LLC is deeply personal, born from a legacy of love, care, and resilience. It is the journey of its founder, Raquel S. Allen, and a testament to the power of turning life's greatest challenges into a meaningful mission.

The Foundation: A Caregiver's Heart

Raquel's path was forever shaped by her role as a daughter. In 2012, she made the profound gift of donating a kidney to her mother, Brenda Fay Allen, extending her life by 8.5 years. This act of love culminated in 2018 when Raquel left her stable career in federal service as a Sr. Legal Assistant, to become her mother's full-time caregiver. This intimate experience provided Raquel with an invaluable perspective on the needs of seniors and their families. She witnessed firsthand the gaps in the system and dreamed of creating a better standard of care—one rooted in dignity, compassion, and excellence. The vision for Fay Springs Senior Living Community and Fay Springs Senior Home Care was born as a living tribute to her mother's memory.

Building the Bridge: Strategic Entrepreneurship

To fund this ambitious vision, Raquel turned to her long-standing interest in real estate. After attending a transformative mastermind class with developer Terrica Lynn Smith in 2023, her passion for property development was ignited. She recognized real estate not just as an investment, but as a powerful tool for building the capital necessary to bring her senior care dream to life.

This strategic move led to the revitalization of Goshen's Light Enterprises LLC. Today, Raquel leads the company with her son and Vice President, Martin Samuel Henderson, creating a true family enterprise focused on generational wealth.

Her diverse background—from her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), phlebotomy and pharmacy technician licenses to her roles in federal agencies—gives her a unique ability to understand complex needs and navigate intricate systems.

Her commitment to family extends beyond her own, as the eldest of eight siblings and a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. This deep-seated value for community is woven into the fabric of everything we do at Goshen's Light Enterprises.
